Coffee Lake
This codename is used by the eighth-generation core CPUs, which, as successors to Kaby Lake and Skylake, share the 1151 socket with their predecessors. Due to various optimizations of the Coffee Lake CPUs, however, these are not compatible with older chipsets, but require socket-1151 mainboards with the chipsets of the 300 series. The Intel Core i7 processors from the Coffee Lake generation have six CPU cores including hyper-threading, high clock rates and new turbo boost features - and all that from only 35 watts TDP! The designation with the "T" at the end has long been used by Intel to describe the particularly economical models, and so the Thermal Design Power (TDP) for this model is only 35 watts, compared with 65 watts for the regular models and even 95 watts for the K models.
