The Tongue Drum is played with mallets or just with the fingers. The tongue drum is tuned to the key of D Kurd, which sounds mystical and dreamy. The bass note D3 in the middle is surrounded by the 8 other notes A3, B3, C4, D4, E4, F4, G4, A4. At the bottom there is a sound hole which can be closed with a silicone plug. This results in a very compact sound. If the sound hole is opened, a long-lasting reverberation is produced.
