Air-motion transformers are a special type of high-frequency loudspeaker systems developed by the German physicist Oskar Heil in the course of his research around the characteristics of human hearing. The main feature is a special folding of the membrane foil and its accordion-like oscillation when an audio signal is applied. This folding allows a very large diaphragm area to be accommodated in a very small space. AMTs are characterized by a very dynamic sound, excellent impulse response, high efficiency and low harmonic distortion. Two STL files for 3D printing of wave guides are available for the AIRMT-130.
