In addition to a newly developed circuit board, improved specifications and faster DSP, the high-performance converter offers extremely powerful headphone amplifiers, an extremely low-noise 4.4 mm Pentaconn balanced connection, a trigger-out function for switching external devices on and off and an RIAA mode for direct digitisation of records in the highest quality. The high-performance converter is a 2-channel analogue input-to-digital and 4-channel digital-to-analogue output converter built into a sturdy housing. A powerful DSP adds all kinds of useful audio processing, from 5-band parametric EQ, fast bass/treble adjustment to a new concept in volume control. The ADI-2/4 Pro SE is equipped with powerful headphone outputs. All three headphone outputs feature mute relays, plug detection and DSP control such as automatic volume assignment, volume boost and much more. RME's latest True Balanced Mode realises balanced headphone operation independent of the XLR outputs. In True Balanced mode, the maximum output level of the ADI-2/4 Pro SE increases to +7 dBu for IEM, +13 dBu for Low Power, +25 dBu for High Power. The signal-to-noise ratio remains unchanged. The graphical user interface with high-resolution IPS panel makes operation easier and clearly displays numerous functions.
