With the Modicon modular safety controller XPSMCM, safety applications can be easily configured and the system can be flexibly expanded with modules according to the application. This version 2 central processing unit (CPU) is the basic module required for every safety system on machines and systems. The configured safety application is processed in the CPU. Configuration is carried out by the user with the free SoSafe Configurable software via USB connection from a PC. Expansion modules can be connected using a backplane bus connector, which must be ordered separately. This order number of the CPU is therefore particularly suitable for stand-alone applications without planned expansions. The supply voltage is 24 VDC. The module has removable screw terminals and a width of 22.5 mm.
