During the day, the filter removes distracting infrared light from the recording when there is sufficient brightness, and it automatically turns off at dusk, remaining inactive throughout the night. This makes infrared light visible in the video recording, allowing you to see things that would otherwise remain hidden in the dark. Visibility is further enhanced by infrared LED lighting: this way, the detection area is illuminated without an intruder being aware of it. The network camera is powered via Power over Ethernet (PoE) through the LAN cable. The main advantage of PoE is that you do not need a separate power cable. This allows you to install Ethernet-connected devices in hard-to-reach places or in areas where many cables would be disruptive. You save on installation costs and can increase the reliability of connected devices by using a central uninterruptible power supply if desired.
