The recordings can be stored on a microSD memory card of up to 512 GB. Additionally, the wildlife camera features a USB-C slot for connection to a PC and TV. The exact resolution of the photos and videos, along with numerous other parameters, can be adjusted via the integrated 2.0-inch TFT colour display. Users can also conveniently view and check the recordings on the colour display. Here, the video resolution can vary between 5K, 4K, 2.7K, and 1080p at 30 fps, down to 1080p at 120 fps, enabling slow-motion recordings. Users can also individually select the image resolution between 48 and 5 MP. The Braun Scouting Cam Black800 5K has three different sensitivities for the PIR motion sensor, with a detection angle of 90 degrees, a triggering distance of up to 20 metres, and a trigger time of approximately 0.6 seconds. Furthermore, the Black800 5K includes an integrated microphone, a speaker, password protection, a time-lapse mode, and displays the date, time, moon phase, and temperature. With the continuous recording function, the camera can keep recording even when the memory card is full by overwriting the oldest files. This continuous recording function can be disabled.
