Alpin White vs. Pure White
In Switzerland, sanitary fixtures are typically installed in Alpin White, with Pure White being used only in rare cases. The color Pure White is brighter than Alpin White. When Alpin White fixtures are repaired with Pure White, the repair is technically sound, but the repaired area will be lighter than the rest of the item. Unfortunately, sanitary colors are not standardized like RAL or Pantone shades. Cramer products aim to achieve the broadest possible match of sanitary colors based on the original templates of leading manufacturers. If a bathtub is no more than 15 years old, the correct shade is usually 080 Alpin White (grayish white, almost light gray). Older bathtubs are often much whiter, and the best match is shade 002 Pure White.

A little tip: Place a white sheet of paper in the bathtub. If the color of the bathtub appears significantly darker (grayer), you have an Alpin White bathtub. Alpin White accounts for about 90% of the market share in white tones.
