Product details
Compact and powerful.
Reliable charge controller for solar arrays up to 4 A. Uncomplicated and extremely reliable device for charging lead-acid and lead-gel batteries within small solar systems. It charges the battery using the PWM charging method. When the end-of-charge voltage is reached, the charging current is switched off, protecting the connected battery from overcharging. With a low self-current consumption, this solar charge controller is extremely economical. 2 LEDs indicate whether the battery is full or still charging.
The charging process according to the PWM principle charges the battery with maximum current at the beginning of the charging process. As soon as the respective end-of-charge voltage is reached, the current flow is stopped so that overcharging does not occur. After this first charging step, the battery is usually not yet fully charged. A drop in the battery voltage is to be expected. Therefore, the charging current starts again when the voltage falls below a defined value. This process is repeated until the battery is fully charged.
