sound level measurement according to IEC 61672-1 class 2. With the push of a button, the measurement time can be switched from Slow (1 sec.) to Fast (125 ms). Also with one keystroke, it is possible to switch between the frequency weightings from characteristic A to C, and vice versa. Characteristic A corresponds to the sound pressure perception of the human ear, while characteristic C can evaluate low-frequency components of a sound. The integrated data memory allows to store more than 30000 measured values in the device, these can be managed via the software included in the scope of delivery. In addition, the software allows online measurements over a longer period of time. Maximum accuracy can be achieved by calibration; the testo 816-1 can be recalibrated on site using the optional sound calibrator and the accessories supplied.
