Ultra-sturdy construction, the best choice of materials, flawless workmanship and a blade shape that sets new standards both aesthetically and functionally. But first things first: the 2.5 mm thick blade back tapers so delicately towards the cutting phase thanks to the V-grind that it can be used for fine and detailed work as well as coarser tasks. This application profile is further enhanced by the slightly forward curved drop-point blade, as this blade shape optimises access to the cutting material and enables more precise work processes. The back of the blade is equipped with a thumb pin, making it even easier to control the cutting action. Japanese VG-10 stainless steel is used as the blade material. This stainless steel has a relatively high carbon content, which gives it above-average edge retention (hardness up to 61 Rockwell). At the same time, it has very good flexibility and sharpness. A steel of the highest quality! The black-coated version of the blade offers even more durable protection against corrosion. The slightly thicker, ergonomically shaped handle guarantees optimum power transmission when cutting and ensures safe handling. The slide lock also takes the topic of "reliability" into account, as it is the most error-proof locking mechanism currently available. The handle material is either Micarta or G10, two materials that are very similar in their essential properties: low weight and high resistance to external influences. The clip at the end of the handle secures the knife to the pocket wall and can be replaced with a beautifully designed lanyard hole if required.
