Thirteen of the country's most well-known singer-songwriters have come together to create a children's music album. Normally, this might warrant a furrowed brow while glancing at the newspaper, but an album as magical as "Under My Bed" has emerged. To put it bluntly: songwriters and children's songs go together remarkably well. When Francesco Wilking ("Die höchste Eisenbahn") sings in the very first song about the fairy who can only make tea but unfortunately cannot fly, it comes across almost more casually than any of his other great songs. Gisbert zu Knyphausen couldn't resist performing his Rumpelstiltskin protest song "I Always Have to Do Everything" every evening on his sold-out tour with the Kid-Kopphausen band this spring. Anyone who witnessed the skeptical smiles of the audience when he announced, "Now comes a children's song," ending in thunderous applause after the last chord, had to realize - this song is a hit. For children and adults alike. And when Olli Schulz played a demo of his song "Commissioner Arm" on his radio show "Gentle and Careful" this May, his Facebook page overflowed with enthusiastic comments, and some talented illustrators even designed a drawing for the "super-smart octopus with the police badge." It was clear that something special was in the air. It's hard to say which song on the album is the best, as the album is a surprise bag - in every sense. Without knowing what songs their colleagues would create, each songwriter confidently brought a new theme to the table. The total runtime is approximately 43 minutes.
