Berghaus

The Berghaus brand laid its foundations in 1966, when climbers and mountaineers Peter Lockey and Gordon Davison from the North West of England were frustrated by the lack of outdoor equipment there. They decided to import and distribute the articles themselves. Shortly afterwards, they started to design, test and manufacture their own equipment and then sell it in their shop. These own creations were given the name Bergsport. Bergsport revolutionized the backpack in 1972 by designing the first model with an inner frame. Further innovations were to follow. Today the company offers outdoor clothing for men and women, shoes, backpacks and other outdoor accessories.
