Brio
The Brio company was founded in Osby in 1884. The name of the Swedish toy manufacturer is derived from the abbreviation of the words Bröderna Ivarsson, Osby (in English: "Ivarsson Brothers from Osby"). In 2015, the Ravensburger Group bought the traditional company Brio. The toys from Brio are considered to be carefully manufactured and of high quality, playful and safe for children. The best known product from the house of Brio are the wooden trains. The large railway assortment includes not only the toy train sets, but also individual tracks, curves, accessories: vehicles, locomotives, bridges, tunnels and many other additions to various game themes are available. Topics include freight, fire fighting, construction, travel and horses. All Brio rails and accessories can be combined with each other as desired. Children like to combine the individual cars with magnets to make long trains. There are also locomotives that are battery or accumulator operated and run all by themselves. Brio not only makes wooden trains, but also other wooden toys. The most famous is the solo game Labyrinth: A wooden box in which you have to steer marbles through a maze. Skill is required above all else.
