TCL, The Creative Life, is a Chinese company. The brand is active in the consumer electronics sector and is based in the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone. The company was founded in 1981 and has its roots in the production of audio and video cassettes. TCL was a state-owned company until the nineties. Later, it was completely privatized by foreign investors and was thus able to rapidly develop into an international corporation.

TCL manufactures electronic products for the entertainment, household and telecommunications categories. But the core competence is TV production. In worldwide panel production, the company ranks second (in units), only Samsung produces more panels.
