Toyota
Everyone knows TOYOTA as the world's largest car manufacturer, but almost no one knows that it all began with spinning machines. In 1894 Sakichi Toyoda started to build manual looms, which were cheaper and worked better than previous looms. He further developed them into power-machine driven wooden looms. In 1946, the first TOYOTA sewing machine was built under the strict supervision of Kiichiro Toyoda, son of Sakichi Toyoda and founder of TOYOTA Motor Corporation. The quality of the first TOYOTA sewing machine was so outstanding that it was allowed to use the same logo as for the TOYOTA cars for it. The basic concept of Toyota sewing machines has remained "Functional and Beautiful" ever since.
The following two series of Toyota sewing machines stand out and convince with their special features:
OEKAKI World
Oekaki is Japanese and means to draw and this is exactly what the Oekaki range allows to apply creative ideas directly to the fabric. With 50 different stitch programs, the Oekaki freehand embroidery mode and the foot control, which changes the stitch width, there are a lot more creative possibilities.
TOYOTA SUPER JEANS
The Toyota Jeans range features a specially designed glide foot and with this patented innovation effortlessly sews over 12 layers of thick denim fabric and jeans hems. The whole thing is supported by the robust and powerful motor.
