3210, is that you? Nokia launches a new smartphone - with buttons

The legendary Finnish mobile phone manufacturer Nokia has unveiled a new mobile. Is it the device for all those who mourn their good old 3210?
The Nokia 216 looks like a Nokia device should look. It is 118mm long, 50.2mm wide, 13.5mm thick and weighs 82.6 grams. It has a screen diagonal of 2.4 inches. And more importantly: a keyboard.

The mobile has a retro look and is strongly reminiscent of the Nokia 6300, which was first launched in November 2006, and is the direct successor to last year's Nokia 215.
The new Nokia 216 is a blast from the past.

However, a lot has changed since then, because solid technology is hidden under the inconspicuous, sometimes turquoise, exterior.
- Memory: 16MB RAM
- Storage space: With MicroSD up to 32GB
- Maximum standby time: up to 24 days
- 0.3 megapixel main camera
- 0.3 megapixel front camera with VGA
- Video recording with 320x240 pixel resolution
- Video playback with 25 fps
- Plays YouTube videos and other streamed media
Nokia's 216 is based on a concept that seems to be getting increasingly lost in the constant innovation of smartphones. The Nokia 216 is made to make phone calls. Sure, the Nokia 216 can access an app store, users can even play games, but essentially the device is made to be held to the ear and talk to another person.
It is not yet known whether the game Snake is included in the scope of delivery. However, as the mobile has access to an app store and Snake is available for the predecessor Nokia 215, it is reasonable to assume that the game will be available.
Oh yes, the Nokia 216 has a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Nokia 216 will be available in India next month, according to technology news portal The Verge. The price: 37 US dollars. <p
