From mobile to high pressure: Kärcher's new generation
We now have the latest generation of cleaning equipment from Kärcher: from high-pressure cleaners with app control to compact cleaners for on the go.
"Cleaning something" has become synonymous with thorough outdoor cleaning. In this article, I present four devices from cleaning specialist Kärcher, which you can now find in our shop.
Characteristics of the K series from Kärcher
The models have water-cooled motors and are equipped with the "Plug 'n' Clean system", which allows the cleaning agent to be changed quickly. The premium flex high-pressure hoses are designed to prevent knotting and ensure greater freedom of movement when working thanks to their flexible structure.
All appliances have an extendable telescopic handle for transport and integrated storage options for accessories. They can also all be connected to the Kärcher app.
The typical areas of application for all models include patios, garden furniture, vehicles and various areas around the house.
"K 7 Premium Smart Control Flex Home": the top model with digital control
According to the manufacturer, the "Kärcher K 7 Premium Smart Control Flex Home" is designed for demanding cleaning tasks. With a maximum pressure of 180 bar and a flow rate of up to 485 litres per hour, the appliance is designed to efficiently remove even stubborn dirt. The area performance is 50 square metres per hour.
You can connect to Kärcher's "Home & Garden App" via Bluetooth, which acts as a cleaning advisor. You can set the desired pressure either via the app or directly via the gun.
The device has a boost mode for particularly stubborn dirt. The 3-in-1 multi-jet nozzle combines three different nozzles in one component.
The hose is ten metres long, giving you a correspondingly large radius of action. The "K 7" measures 459 × 330 × 669 millimetres and weighs 17.8 kilograms.
"Kärcher K 5 Premium Smart Control Flex": the cleaner for home use
This cleaner is positioned in the medium performance class. It offers a maximum pressure of 145 bar. Kärcher specifies an area performance of 40 square metres per hour. This model also features Smart Control technology with Bluetooth connection to the Kärcher app. The pressure regulation display is also located in the handle.
With dimensions of 417 × 306 × 584 millimetres and a weight of 13.5 kg (without accessories), the "K 5" is more compact, but offers the same action radius, boost mode and the 3-in-1 multi-jet nozzle.
"Kärcher K 4 Power Control Flex": compact cleaner around the house
The "K 4 Power Control Flex" is the most compact and lightest model in this product range. With a maximum pressure of 130 bar and a flow rate of up to 420 litres per hour, it achieves an area coverage of around 30 square metres per hour.
In contrast to the premium models, the "K 4" is equipped with a different handle which, in conjunction with the Vario Power nozzle, allows a choice of three pressure levels. The hose is eight metres long and the appliance weighs 11.9 kilograms. The housing measures 405 × 306 × 584 millimetres. A connection with the Kärcher app is also possible here.
The mobile cleaner "OC4"
The mobile low-pressure cleaner "OC4" is a practical solution for cleaning on the go when no water connection is available. It is designed for the gentle cleaning of bicycles, outdoor equipment or pushchairs. You can use it to remove dirt directly on site, for example after a mountain bike tour, at the campsite or in the garden. This way, the dirt is not carried into the car or home.
The device operates at a pressure of seven bar. Kärcher specifies an operating time for the integrated lithium-ion battery of up to 22 minutes, which should be sufficient for cleaning around three to four bikes. A display shows the remaining battery capacity. The battery is charged via a standard USB-C connection.
The device has a water tank with a capacity of eight litres, which you can fill under a tap or other water source before setting off. When empty, the tank can stow away the appliance base. A lockable gun is connected to the 2.8 metre long spiral hose. This means you can clean without having to press a switch. The multi-jet nozzle changes the spray pattern during cleaning if required.
According to the manufacturer, the "OC4" has a maximum flow rate of two litres per minute and weighs 3.1 kilograms without accessories. The dimensions are 296 × 291 × 240 millimetres.
