Microsoft offers a look behind the scenes! - Part 2

Product development at the tech giants is a secret matter. Building 87 of the Microsoft headquarters, known internally as "The Vault", is the birthplace of the successful Surface family and the company's most heavily guarded building. Reportedly, only around 100 people worldwide have access to it. Microsoft has now published a series of videos in which developers provide rare insights into the world of product development, the inner workings and functionalities.
In part 2 of this "Behind the Scenes" series, we want to give you some interesting insights into the development of one of our top sellers, the Surface Dock.
A docking station? For many, there could hardly be a more emotionless product, but here too, apart from the weight of the dock, the magnetic force of the charging cable or the fact that it does not occupy one of the rare USB ports, nothing is accidental. As is so often the case, it's the detail that makes the difference and ultimately makes the product so popular.
