Now available: the "Powerbeats Pro 2" earbuds for music during training
The "Powerbeats Pro 2" earbuds from Beats could become your new sports companions. They measure your heart rate and are sweat-resistant.
If you don't want to miss out on music or podcasts while exercising, you might be interested in the "Powerbeats Pro 2" earbuds from Beats. With these earbuds, you don't just listen to music while exercising - they also track your heart rate.
Earbuds for sporty people
The heart rate is determined using built-in optical sensors that you should not feel. The tracking function is compatible with many popular fitness apps, such as Peloton and "Nike Run Club". On an iPhone, the Beats automatically recognise your activity. If you use an Android smartphone, you start the monitoring manually.
The "Powerbeats Pro 2" have Active Noise Cancelling (ANC). This allows you to largely block out noise from your surroundings. If you still want to hear them, for example when cycling in traffic, you can also switch off ANC (transparency mode). Interesting for athletes: The "Powerbeats Pro 2" are IP4X resistant to sweat and water. However, they are not suitable for water sports. The earpieces that you slide over your ear ensure a secure fit.
An Apple processor should ensure good performance
The earphones offer spatial audio, i.e. three-dimensional surround sound. They also simulate that the sound always comes from one direction, even if you turn your head. The computing power required for this is provided by the built-in Apple H2 chip, which is also installed in Apple's "Airpod Pro 2". The processor is designed to improve audio quality and minimise energy consumption. According to the manufacturer, one battery charge lasts for up to 45 hours of playback time. A charging case is included for charging.
