Sennheiser announces the successor to the best of the worst headphones

Sennheiser presents the successor to its True Wireless model. The Momentum True Wireless 2 features a new noise cancellation function. And let's hope there are no more connection problems.
The announcement of the second version of Sennheiser's True-Wireless is cause for hope. After all, the previous model sounded so good that it didn't sound like other True Wireless headphones, but was unusable due to connection problems. In addition, the headphones like to discharge into the case.
Now can we get good sound and a good connection? The switch from Bluetooth 5.0 to 5.1 could be a good thing. As with the previous model, the AAC codec for iOS devices and AptX for Android are supported in addition to the standard SBC protocol. In addition, it should now be possible to switch easily between audio sources.
New: active noise reduction
The biggest innovation of the headphones is that they feature an active noise reduction system. The predecessor only had a single transparency mode. As in-ear headphones, they will already have good passive noise cancellation. By installing active noise cancellation, Sennheiser can keep up with the competition: Sony, Apple and Libratone have all made proposals in this regard. Sennheiser does not provide any information on how much noise the headphones suppress.

More battery
Sennheiser's first True-Wireless model has an operating time of just 4 hours. That's not much compared to the competition. What's more, many users find that the headphones self-discharge in the case when not in use - instead of recharging.
With the new headphones, Sennheiser promises much longer battery life: the headphones will run for 7 hours on their own and a further 28 hours with the case.
The predecessor was too big for people with small ears. Sennheiser is putting an end to that too: the new model is 2 millimetres smaller.

Better calling
Many users also complain about the poor call quality of the first True Wireless model. As my Bluetooth connection was poor, I wouldn't have understood anything anyway.... Now, two microphones will record your voice and noise will be reduced thanks to Beamforming technology.
It remains to be seen whether any of this is true, and whether Sennheiser will finally get the connection issues under control. The headphones are announced for early April. I'll soon be allowed to test the new headphones and tell you more.
If you have something you think I should specifically test, let me know in the comments. I'll try to answer your questions in my test.

Testing devices and gadgets is my thing. Some experiments lead to interesting insights, others to demolished phones. I’m hooked on series and can’t imagine life without Netflix. In summer, you’ll find me soaking up the sun by the lake or at a music festival.
