Start waving goodbye to these Lego City sets
At the end of the year, Lego will cease production of several of its City sets. Here’s a look at which models are expected to be leaving shelves.
It’s not unusual for Lego to stop producing a set after it’s been around for a while. When this happens, the set is tagged with EOL for «End of Life». If there’s too litte demand for a set, it’ll disappear from the market faster than its more popular counterparts. Lego typically produces its sets for more or less two years, but there are exceptions. Certain sets have been available on the market for as many as ten years.
I’ve gathered info from several sources to come up with this list of City sets that will possibly be discontinued at the end of the year. My sources include Lego itself in addition to rumours and conjecture from experts such as Toy Investor (German only). Every once in a while, Lego decides at the last second that a retiring product should stay on the market. That’s why this list is not definitive.
In any case, Lego is expected to cease production of these 12 City sets at the end of December 2022:
LEGO Stunt show arena
LEGO Mascot stunt bike
LEGO Rocket stunt bike
LEGO Supermarket
LEGO Vegetable delivery truck
LEGO Chicken coop
LEGO City centre
LEGO City 60302 Wildlife Rescue Operation
LEGO Modern family house
LEGO Passenger train
LEGO City 60301 off road vehicle to rescue wildlife
LEGO Police boat
