Who could resist a freshly toasted slice of bread with salted butter? For breakfast, as a toasted sandwich or with tartar, crispy toasted bread is delicious. I’ve toasted myself through our range and picked out the best products we have.

I love a good slice of toast on a Sunday. I even toast fresh braided egg bread, just because it tastes better. Some salted butter on it – and my brunch is perfect. Check out the best toasters out there.

The long one

Don't let the name «KüchenMinis» fool you. Looks like you really like WMF: an average rating of 4.5 stars from 18 users is impressive. Praise goes to the wide slots that fit large slices of bread and toast them evenly. Some of you, however, point out that the device gets hot on the outside when it's used for a long time.

The slim one

Thanks to its compact design, this toaster is also suitable for small kitchens. Severin easily manages frozen toast and delivers golden-brown results in no time. This toaster is better suited for couples or frequent toast eaters, as the two slots can only be used together.

The flexible one

It might look like a regular toaster, but provides plenty of space and can even make toasted sandwiches. The built-in, removable crumb tray makes cleaning a piece of cake. It doesn’t replace a sandwich toaster, but it’s well able to prepare a hot ham and sandwich.

The cool one

This vintage-style toaster is available in three different colours. Apart from its stylish looks, it offers what you expect from a toaster: enough space for two slices of bread, an automatic ejection mechanism, a removable crumb tray as well as various defrosting, heating and browning levels.

The modern one

This model excels with extra-wide slots and an attachment to defrost and heat baked goods. The Multiquick won consumer magazine K-Tip's toaster test. This means it has to be a great addition to any kitchen.

The exclusive one

An LED timer tells you how long you have to wait for your evenly browned toast. Furthermore, a sensor automatically positions your slice of bread depending on its weight and size – for perfect browning. It also comes with a keep-warm and a defrosting feature – but do these additions really justify the price of this toaster?

The simple one

At first glance, this Philip’s toaster looks fairly low-key. But don't judge a book by its cover: on top of all the usual functions, this device is equipped with an LED screen and lifts small toasts especially high so that you can get them out without burning your fingers.

The gigantic one

This toaster houses a motorised control that lowers your slice of bread into the four extra wide slots at the simple touch of a button. The dual control panels allow you to toast combinations of bagels, English muffins, pastries and bread to the exact shade you love. The downside? Its design: it looks a lot like something you’d see in an industrial kitchen.
