The speed has been improved enormously: The latest premium compact camera from Sony's RX100 series can take an incredible 24 images per second. The noise of the 20 MPixel 1-inch sensor has been improved compared to its predecessor, images with ISO 3200 still look good. This means that you can still take detailed, sharp and beautiful pictures in low light conditions. The new and significantly faster image processor is not only responsible for the high continuous shooting rate, but also for the higher image quality, barely perceptible black areas between shots and the significantly more accurate and faster autofocus. A total of 315 autofocus areas distributed over 65 per cent of the sensor surface make focusing on moving subjects - even during continuous shooting - almost child's play. To summarise: The new one really can do more and thus justifies the higher price.
Offers 4K and 40x slow motion function. Plus pop-up OLED viewfinder, foldable selfie display and mega-fast sensor. It also has a fast lens. Among other things, this ensures a shallower depth of field and faster shutter speeds - ideal for available light photography. Here you capture the natural lighting mood and do without flashes and photo lamps. This works particularly well indoors during the day thanks to the integrated image stabiliser. The compact format for your trouser pocket is also perfect for travelling.

If you can't or don't want to spend quite as much money to get your hands on the RX100 IV, I recommend the RX100 III. Almost as suitable for difficult lighting conditions, it also comes with an adjustable selfie screen, WiFi and pop-up OLED viewfinder. However, it lacks the 4K function and the 40x slow motion function for photos and videos. Wondering what's so cool about the selfie screen? The 3" display can be tilted up to 45 degrees backwards and a full 180 degrees upwards. The display rotates automatically - making selfies child's play. The tilting display also makes it easy to take photos close to the ground or above crowds of people. Cool perspective guaranteed!
A very good compact camera for the price. It even offers you a larger zoom range than the RX100 III, but comes with significantly fewer features than its two successors: no electronic viewfinder, no touchscreen and a less powerful sensor. But if price is the deciding factor, you will also be very satisfied with the RX100 II.
I personally can't recommend it to you, I would buy at least the RX100 II. The reason for this is that the RX100 has neither WiFi nor a folding screen.
