Rosenstein & Söhne Pizza scissors with extra sharp blades
World Pizza Day: How to turn your kitchen into a bakery
For Italians, 17 January is World Pizza Day. And since Galaxus is also in Italy, that's reason enough to show you four products that make pizza baking easier. Of course, non-Italian pizza fans are also welcome to read along.
Have you ever met someone who doesn't like pizza? Me neither. Instead, most people associate this dish with holidays in Bella Italia, dates or a night out with friends. Reason enough to celebrate World Pizza Day today. These tools could be an enrichment for your home bakery.
1. the pizza cutter
Instead of repeatedly cutting through the pizza with a roller because you can never get all the way through the dough the first time, you can simply use scissors. They're great for cutting your pizza, even if it's thickly topped. No more fiddling with the crispy edges or slipping toppings: the pizza scissors from Rosenstein & Söhne are designed to make this possible.
2. the pizza plate
"Pizza plate and cutting board in one": That's what Relaxdays promises with this round bamboo tray. Three deep grooves divide it into several pizza slices. You can run the roller along these grooves and use them as a guide for cutting. The result: an evenly cut pizza in six pieces. After use, the bamboo plate should be washed by hand as it is not dishwasher-safe.
3. the pizza stone
Anyone familiar with the art of pizza baking will know that traditional baking requires a pizza stone. This is placed in a cold oven and warmed up. When it reaches the right temperature, place the pizza on the stone. This gives it a crispy base during baking and allows its flavours to develop. The "PS 16" from Rommelsbacher is particularly popular with our users. "The pizzas are crispy and the dough rises beautifully," is one of the latest reviews. The set also includes a wooden shovel that can be used to push the pizza onto the stone and back down again.
4. the pizzarette
A family celebration coming up or want to invite a few friends round for pizza? Then this Pizzarette from Emerio might be of interest to you. This is a tabletop grill that invites several people to bake together. Six mini pizzas can be prepared at the same time on small paddles under a real terracotta bonnet. As the heating principle is reminiscent of a stone oven, the pizza should be ready in just a few minutes, according to the manufacturer.
