The cables can be used with all standardized IEC sockets or power outlets; however, when used with APC rack PDUs from the AP8000 series or IT devices with corresponding integrated sockets, the locking mechanism engages. The plug locking mechanism protects against the accidental disconnection of cables, thereby preventing a disruption in power supply.
