The Aplic USB 3.0 to SATA III converter allows you to connect any 3.5" or 2.5" SATA drive to your computer for fast USB 3.0 SuperSpeed data transfers. For example, create a backup, copy or archive your
most important data to your PC. This can be particularly advantageous if you want to read out data from an old internal hard drive on a PC system or perform a data recovery from a defective external hard drive.
Higher speeds: UASP, when paired with a UASP-enabled host controller, provides up to 70% faster read speeds or 40% faster write speeds compared to traditional USB 3.0, because UASP uses a more efficient protocol than standard USB BOT (Bulk-Only Transport). The actual transfer speed depends on the performance of the connected HDD/SSD. Plug and Play: Simply connect your HDD or SSD to a USB port on your PC system and all without installation.
Note: To ensure full functionality, an additional 12V DC power supply (3.5 x 1.35 mm DC plug) must be connected to the adapter to connect a conventional 3.5" (88.9 mm) hard drive.
