The iPhone 12 mini is protected against water and dust and has been tested under controlled laboratory conditions. It is classified under IEC standard 60529 as IP68 (up to 6 meters for up to 30 minutes). The protection against water and dust is not permanent and may diminish over time as a result of normal wear and tear. A wet iPhone should not be charged. The user manual contains instructions for cleaning and drying. The warranty does not cover damage caused by liquids.
