Samsung wins both the test (Galaxy S9 Plus) and the price-performance victory (Galaxy S9) thanks to its super display and all-round strong technology. But the lead is narrow. This makes a comparison of the strengths and weaknesses of the individual models on the following pages all the more important: Apple scores points for speed and camera, while Huawei's P20 Pro offers two strong selling points...
Slightly improved camera, faster processor and slightly longer runtimes - the iPhone XS and XS Max are top phones without any real weaknesses. Those who want to spend less money on their next phone will have to wait until the end of October, when the iPhone XR is released. There are also plenty of Android smartphones that are technically and qualitatively equivalent, but significantly cheaper...

All in all, the upgrade from the iPhone X to the iPhone XS is rather disappointing. This time, Apple is missing major new features that were also available in the S models in previous years. Only the dual-SIM version, which not all customers need and which is also realised with an eSIM as a second card, which only a few providers currently offer, stands out as an outstanding new feature compared to...
Visually, the iPhone Xs is hardly distinguishable from the iPhone X. Inside, however, a lot has changed: improved Face ID, improved camera, more memory, more performance. As befits an s-class, Apple has turned the right screws. We look forward to the test.
