Product details

The developer board Arduino Yún is based on the Atmega32u4 and the Atheros AR9331. The Atheros processor supports all Linux distributions based on the OpenWrt. Besides the standard Linux commands, you can also program your own shell or Python scripts on the board. The board has built-in Ethernet and WiFi support as well as a USB-A port, a microSD card slot and 20 digital input/output pins.

The attic of the Arduino Yún
The Atmega32u4 has a 32 KB memory, 4 KB of which are used for the bootloader. It also has 2.5 KB SRAM and 1 KB EEPROM. The memory of AR9311 is not embedded in the processor, the RAM and memory are connected externally. Thus the board has 64 MB DDR2 RAM and a 16 MB flash memory.

Programming options
The developer board can be easily programmed with the Arduino software. Furthermore, the bootloader of the Atmega32u allows a direct upload of new code without the need of an external programming device. The bootloader communicates via the AVR109 protocol and can also be bypassed via the In-Circuit Serial Programming header.
