The ASUS USB-AC56 is a dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi adapter with a USB 3.0 connection, providing a powerful Wi-Fi network for desktop PCs and laptops.

Thanks to the USB 3.0 connection, the ASUS USB-AC56 achieves Wi-Fi data transfer rates of up to 300 Mbps at 2.4 GHz and 867 Mbps at 5 GHz with compatible routers.

The adapter for desktop PCs and laptops features a dual internal antenna design for extensive Wi-Fi network coverage with minimal space requirements, as well as a detachable external antenna with a wide range that further enhances reception in areas with weak Wi-Fi signals.

Dieser WLAN-USB-3.0-Stick bietet zwei Sendeeinheiten und zwei integrierte Antennen auf engstem Raum. So soll er eine theoretische Datenrate von 868 MBit/s bieten. Im Test waren es dann unter Praxisbedingungen (durch eine Wand) gemessene und sehr gute 300 MBit pro Sekunde. Die maximale gemessene Datenrate ist mit 345 MBit/s sogar noch einen ganzen ticken höher.
