Die Inbetriebnahme gelingt auch Einsteigern innerhalb weniger Minuten. Im Geschwindigkeitstest hängt alles vom Installationsort und der Strecke zwischen den beiden Adaptern ab. Die Datenraten genügen selbst unter vergleichsweise schlechten Bedingen für das Streamen von Musik und Videos.
In Verbindung mit einer Fritzbox ist das AVM-Kit nach wie vor empfehlenswert - ohne Fritzbox hingegen nur bedingt.
