Gemessen am doch recht hohen Preis ist die Anfangsbrennweite zwar eher mäßig aber das ändert sich schnell wenn man abblendet. Dabei ist die Abbildungsleistung ebenso hoch wie die Qualität. Zudem ist das Ganze exzellent verarbeitet und bietet einen sehr guten Streulichtschutz. Der Zoom ist dank hoher Griffigkeit ebenfalls gut bedienbar und bei APS Modellen ist die Anfangsschwäche nicht so gravierend...

Wenn der Sinn nach Ultraweitwinkel steht und das Konto das mitmacht: Kaufen denn das Objektiv ist extrem gut verarbeitet und liefert tolle Ergebnisse bei einem top Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Das Modell ist sehr gut verarbeitet und bietet einen Schutz gegen Spritzwasser sowie Staub. Fotografen, die gerne einen Filter verwenden, müssen sich beim EF 11-24 allerdings umstellen, denn leider entfällt das Filtergewinde an der Vorderseite. Dafür ist an der Rückseite ein Filterhalter für die Verwendung von Gelatinefiltern vorhanden.
