Ultrasonic focusing. An ultrasonic motor provides very fast and extremely quiet autofocus. Thanks to excellent holding torque, inaccuracies are avoided. Additionally, manual focusing is always possible without switching modes, allowing for adjustments to sharpness without needing to disable the AF function.

Attractive background blur. The nearly circular aperture gives the out-of-focus areas a softer, more uniform appearance. The targeted use of background blur emphasizes the subject in the foreground.

Super Spectra coating. The Super Spectra coating ensures excellent color balance and enhanced contrast. It also minimizes lens flare and ghosting—common issues caused by light reflecting off the camera sensor.
