The 3-in-1 multifunction system PIXMA G650 is designed for small businesses, photo studios, and private users. It offers high-quality photo printing with low maintenance effort and low total operating costs. Six dye-based inks ensure improved photo print quality. The additional red and gray inks enhance color brilliance and contrast, ensuring that there are almost no color deviations regardless of the photo paper used. The high-yield inks allow for an impressive page performance – a set of ink bottles is sufficient for about 3,800 photo prints in 10 x 15 cm format, meaning that refills are needed less frequently. The printer is particularly easy to operate, and the front-facing ink tanks make it easy to monitor ink levels. The ink bottles do not need to be squeezed, and they have a unique connector shape, making refilling very simple. The two-line LCD display facilitates navigation through the functions. The user-replaceable print head and maintenance cartridge minimize downtime, and the Auto Power On/Off feature helps save energy. The Wi-Fi connectivity allows printing via the Canon PRINT app, Mopria, or AirPrint, as well as a wireless connection to a PC, laptop, or Canon Wi-Fi camera.

The Canon Pixma G650 is aimed specifically at those who want to print image material. It has two additional ink tanks for red and grey ink, which enable particularly true-colour printing. Unfortunately, the 3-in-1 device does not have an ADF, but one set of ink can print up to 3800 photos in 10 x 15 format.

The Pixma G650 is a photo specialist that prints with two additional colours (red and grey). This ensures a particularly high print quality for photos, but puts pressure on the speed. The G650 takes two minutes to print a photo in the standard 10 x 15 centimetre format. Apart from this and the meagre equipment, it is a top photo printer at half the price of the EcoTank ET-8500 (2nd place).
Inkjet and laser printers, with or without scan, copy and fax functions: the printer test shows differences in quality and follow-up costs. The Pixma G650 delivers very good print quality with its six printing colours. Printing costs are low thanks to ink tanks, but the printing mechanism is slow.
