Product details

A seamless network

Unlike classic repeaters, Covr creates a gapless network and automatically connects you to the strongest signal as you move around your home.

Hybrid technology

Covr uses PowerLine technology to transmit network data through the power lines in your home. No loss of performance even with thick walls or large distances between repeaters.

High performance

The separate PowerLine infrastructure doesn't burden your WLAN, so it's available to your wireless devices at full speed. Combined with Wave 2 Wi-Fi AC 1200, Covr always delivers enough bandwidth to make performance problems a thing of the past.

Setup? What setup?

Covr is already pre-configured. There is virtually no set-up required. Simply connect a Covr to your existing router and plug them into a wall socket. With the D-Link Wi-Fi app, your Wi-Fi will then be up and running in minutes.

Discreet design

We've packaged this fantastic technology unobtrusively so you can optimise your Wi-Fi without fuss.

D-Link Wi-Fi app

With the new D-Link Wi-Fi app, managing your home WLAN no longer sounds like 'administering the wireless network'. Everything is wonderfully simple.

Two test scenarios: House and flat For the test, we set up two example scenarios: One simulates a 250 square metre flat, the other a single-family home with several floors. In the flat scenario, we supplemented the existing router with a repeater or two mesh or powerline devices...

Unlike more expensive models (for example Devolo dLAN 1200+ Wifi ac, see c't 23/2017, p. 76), the COVR-P2502 does not span a guest network. The idle power consumption, however, is at the same level. Those who can do without a guest network can save a few euros with the COVR-P2502 kit, at least at the time of purchase.
