Almost ten years ago, Das Keyboard released a version without any key markings. This latest version follows the same basic principle but has added new features. Das Keyboard Ultimate 4 includes Cherry's renowned MX Brown switches, which have a traditional-style keystroke sound. The keyboard features a European Enter key, which is larger than its American counterpart.

On the right side of the keyboard, there is a dial that can be used to adjust the computer's volume. To the left of this dial are standard multimedia keys, which include play, pause, rewind, and track navigation. Next to all these is a button that can put the computer into sleep mode.

Behind the dial, there are two USB 3.0 ports, allowing the keyboard to function as a USB hub. This is particularly beneficial for computers with limited connections. Das Keyboard 4 Ultimate fully supports N-key rollover, also known as 100% anti-ghosting. This means that the keyboard registers all simultaneous keystrokes.

Included is a rubber riser that can elevate the keyboard to a more ergonomic angle. This is magnetically attached to the bottom of the keyboard. However, the features do not end there, as the riser can also be used as a 400 mm long ruler. The keyboard comes with an extra-long USB cable measuring two meters.
