Epson Perfection V600

The scanner from Epson is a multi-talent thanks to its many format functions, whereby it is also very extensively equipped with many functions. It also detects dust, scratches and delivers scans with high resolution and surprisingly good detail reproduction. However, the dynamic range and bright areas are only satisfactory.

...The V600 scans reflected light very quickly and with good quality. When scanning slides and negatives, the scanner benefits from its higher resolution and delivers usable results for a flatbed model - especially in combination with the scratch removal ICE. Its maximum density of 2.9 and good colour reproduction identify it as an upper mid-range photo scanner.

... Incidentally, the Perfection V600 Photo is ready for use within a few seconds of being switched on, as the "ReadyScan LED" technology makes a warm-up phase unnecessary. On the whole, the model earns the test mark "Good" - especially because of its user-friendliness.

Scans paper images consistently and negatives in optimised settings well, it even optimises slides very well. Works relatively fast, best handling. Scans up to four slides or two film strips simultaneously.

As a powerful flatbed scanner, the Epson is more of a generalist than a specialist.
