Product details

The X-H1 features a newly developed, extremely robust housing and is the first model in the X series to feature integrated 5-axis image stabilization (IBIS), which in combination with Fujinon XF lenses
allows exposure times up to 5.5 steps longer. It also features a flicker reduction mode that guarantees reliable light metering results even under difficult lighting conditions, thereby significantly improving the quality of indoor sports shots, for example.
The internal image stabilization system (IBIS), which is used for the first time in an X Series camera, has three axial acceleration sensors, three axial gyro sensors and a very powerful dual processor, which performs around 10,000 calculations per second based on the measured data. In combination with the effective compensation mechanism, particularly precise image stabilization and thus uncompromising image quality are achieved.

The 5-axis image stabilization is possible with all XF and XC lenses. Even with lenses without their own optical image stabilizer, stabilization of up to 5.5 EV steps is possible.

The lock is based on a spring mechanism that minimizes the finest vibrations inside the housing. With the electronic first shutter curtain and the completely electronic shutter, vibration effects can be practically completely eliminated.

The X-H1 features a 24.3 megapixel X-Trans CMOS III sensor without low-pass filter and a powerful X processor Pro. The same combination is already used in the internationally acclaimed professional X Series models X-Pro2 and X-T2.

The housing of the X-H1 is made of a sturdy magnesium alloy 25 percent thicker than the X-T2's. Although the camera is much more robust and stable, the housing is compact and lightweight overall thanks to a new mounting of the bayonet ring. The X-H1 is dust- and splash-proof and fully functional even at cold temperatures down to minus 10° Celsius.

The electronic viewfinder with a resolution of 3.69 million pixels and a 0.75x magnification offers a leading performance in the segment of non-reflecting system cameras. The ultra-short response time of only 0.005 seconds and a fast frame rate of 100 frames per second ensure exceptionally smooth motion reproduction in the viewfinder image.

The 7.6 cm (3 inches) touchscreen LCD on the back can be folded and swivelled in three directions. It has 1.04 million pixels.

At the suggestion of professional photographers, the operating concept of the X-H1 has been optimized at a total of 19 points compared to other models of the X series. For example, the camera now fits even better in the hand due to the larger handle.

The camera also offers Cinema 4K recording in 17:9 format, DCI 4K recording 4,096 x 2,160, Full HD recording at 120 frames per second (fps) for smooth slow motion (2x, 4x, 5x), F-log4 and time code recording and 4K F-log recording directly on SD card, a 400% dynamic range (approx. 12 f-stops) and an integrated microphone with high sound quality (24 bit / 48 kHz).

The X-H1's autofocus features an improved algorithm that significantly improves the accuracy and speed of focusing in low-light situations. For example, the sensitivity of the phase detection AF was improved by approximately 1.5 f-stops from 0.5 EV to -1.0 EV.
