Amazon only outputs UHD videos streamed on the Fire TV 4K with a maximum of 30 frames per second. Those who value 60 Hz and have a corresponding 4K TV with HDCP 2.2 are better served with the Chromecast Ultra. On the other hand, Amazon offers an extremely attractive overall package with Prima for 69 euros per year.
Google is charging a hefty 80 euros for the improved Chromecast version called ?Ultra? the normal Chromecast, which is still sold, costs half as much. The most obvious difference is the 4K and HDR support. The principle remains the same: the Google Puck goes into the HDMI port of the TV or AV receiver and is then played back streaming content or local photos or videos via smartphone or tablet...

The Chromecast is technically convincing even in the Ultra HD version. Its dilemma: almost all suitable UHD televisions are smart TVs that can bring videos from Netflix and YouTube onto the screen themselves and in the same quality. At least on the German market, there is therefore hardly any potential for the Chromecast Ultra.
