The Bluetooth headphone test provides results for 240 headphones with and without earpieces. Which ones sound strong, have good batteries and no harmful substances. New in Stiftung Warentest's headphone comparison: 26 current in-ear and boom headphones. Among them are models from Apple, JBL, Samsung and Sennheiser...
Those who want to isolate themselves from the environment with their headphones and enjoy music intensively are less well served with the Freebuds 4. The Huawei headphones have other qualities: they sit incredibly comfortably, sound well-balanced and support simultaneous connection with multiple devices including automatic switching...
- Warm sound
- good app
- Very high wearing comfort
- Low detail
- Moderate noise cancelling
- meagre runtime
The Freebuds 4 shone with the best sound in this comparison. Here, Huawei focuses less on rich detail and more on undistorted voices and warm tuning. The earplugs do not seal the ears. This makes them comfortable to wear, but the noise-cancelling is weak. The operation by touch and tip is pleasing, and the good app is a practical addition. However, the battery life is a little short.
- easy
- good wearing comfort
- Gestures for volume
- Passable ANC
- low maximum volume
If in-ears in the ear canal bother you, the FreeBuds 4 are an open-fit alternative with decent ANC. You should not expect sound miracles.
- Smooth sound with rich bass
- Strong runtimes
- Volume control on the handset
- Stable hold even without attachments
- Practically unusable ANC
- Optics of the earphones only okay
- Really good, dynamic and balanced sound
- Very nice small and light construction
- good operability
- Multi-pairing thanks to Bluetooth 5.2
- appealing design
- Overall decent telephony acoustics
