Product details
The Huawei Sound X utilizes the powerful SAM technology (Speaker Active Matching) from Devialet, which precisely tunes the sound to the characteristics of the speakers. The two subwoofers reproduce audio signals faithfully and in real-time – delivering crystal-clear HiFi sound that reaches your ears exactly as intended.
The bass hits powerfully in the deep frequency range down to 40 Hz with a signal strength of up to 20 mm (Peak-to-Peak), allowing you to see, hear, and feel the vibrations.

Relatively weak. Sound still good overall, but cool and not quite balanced, sometimes a little nasal and squawky, bass booms at times. Relatively quiet. No stereo. Not very versatile. Provider app only available for Android. It does not allow playback via WLAN, only via Bluetooth. Quite high power consumption in operation. No user account necessary.

Huawei's first smart speaker is not exactly cheap, but it is nice to look at, compact and surprisingly powerful. We miss a voice control feature.

It is difficult to give a final verdict on the Sound X. It is a noble speaker with a high sound quality. However, the somewhat unbalanced, uncontrolled bass boom clouds the overall impression. So we'll stick with it: it's a cool, good speaker, but it will appeal to a very specific audience...
The Huawei Sound X sounds worse and can do less than the competition - even the announced assistant update won't change that. Is it at least cheaper? Not even that.
