The carrier-less design makes installation and replacement of 2.5" or 3.5" HDDs/SSDs effortless, as the bare drives simply slide in and are ready to use. You need neither screws nor tools. If you want to remove the drive, you can simply pull it out thanks to the recesses in the front. A simple yet reliable design.
