Product details
The Intel Core desktop processors of the 13th generation called Raptor Lake bring a chip layout with different CPU cores for different application scenarios. The Performance Cores provide performance for computationally intensive applications, the Efficiency Cores for energy efficiency under light load. The Raptor Lake processors support PCIe Gen 5.0 and 4.0, DDR5 and DDR4. The processor is compatible with motherboards based on the Intel 700 and 600 chipset.

What counts in the end: Who offers the best package? And a super-fast processor alone is not enough. The test winner was Intel's Core i7-14700K. The 20-core processor was extremely fast, its graphics chip offered a decent speed and it left nothing to be desired in terms of energy consumption...

- Very high gaming performance
- high application performance
- Very good multi-core performance
- Low energy consumption in idle mode
- up to 32 threads
- PCI Express 5.0

Our lab has never seen a faster CPU! The Intel Core i9-13900K is extremely fast and outperforms its predecessor by 30 percent and more.

- Fastest gaming CPU
- high application performance
- cheaper than the AMD competition
- DDR4 and DDR5 RAM support
- 600 and 700 chipset support
- Low gaming efficiency
- Extremely fast, even with complex calculations
- High price, somewhat high power consumption under full load
Intel's top model Core i9-13900K worked 21 per cent faster on average than its predecessor in testing and consumed six per cent less energy. In terms of speed, the CPU is on par with AMD's top model, the Ryzen 9 7950X, but it consumes much less energy and therefore remains number one...

- Very high gaming performance
- Very high application performance
- good energy efficiency
- moderate temperatures under gaming load
- Becomes very hot under high application load
With Raptor Lake and the Core i9 13900K, Intel has once again increased the clock speed. This, coupled with fast DDR5 RAM, gives the CPU by far the highest gaming performance in testing, although the performance of the Core i9 13900K quickly fades into the background during gaming...
