The Q2 from Keychron is a high-quality barebone keyboard where every switch, keycap, stabilizer, and even every plate can be individually customized. It is designed to create an exceptional typing experience through extensive personalization.

The Q2 barebone features a CNC-machined 6063 aluminum case that undergoes 24 processes, including polishing, anodizing, and sandblasting. The gasket-mounted design provides the board with a pleasant, flexible typing feel and excellent sound. The maximum flex of the Q2 is up to 2.5 mm. The barebone keyboard includes a switch for the operating system and an additional set of custom keycaps for both Windows and macOS systems.

Thanks to full QMK and VIA support, you can easily program and remap every key (including the knob) on the keyboard. With the open-source VIA firmware, you can define any key, keyboard layout, or backlighting. You can even write MACROS for custom key combinations that you want on your Keychron Q2. VIA supports macOS, Windows, and Linux.

The hot-swappable PCB supports both 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical MX switches. The Q2 barebone is equipped with high-quality screw stabilizers that provide stability and smoothness. The screw design also allows compatibility with a wide range of other stabilizers. The south-facing RGB SMD LED lighting is easy to see, allowing each key to be individually illuminated, making it ideal for translucent PBT keycaps.
