Prof. Dr Lars C. Grabbe studied Philosophy, Sociology and New German Literature and Media Studies at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel. In 2011 he completed his doctorate at Chemnitz University of Technology on "Georg Simmel's Object World. From 2010 he was a lecturer for "Theory and History of Symbolic Forms" at the Institute for Art, Design and Media Studies at the Muthesius Academy of Art in Kiel. In 2014, he also moved to the Department of Design at Münster University of Applied Sciences as a lecturer in media theory and communication. There he has been Professor for Theory of Perception, Communication and Media since June 2017. Main research interests: Phenosemiosis, media theory and philosophy, image science, perception theory, communication theory, aesthetics, film studies. Prof. Dr. Patrick Rupert-Kruse, Professor of Media Theory and Immersion Research at the Department of Media at Kiel University of Applied Sciences 2010 dissertation on the subject of imagination and empathy, taught and researched at the CAU zu Kiel Head of the Institute forr immersive Media (ifim), since 2015 chairman of the Society for Interdisciplinary Image Science (GiB), founding member of the Research Group Moving Image Science Kiel and responsible editor of the Yearbook of Immersive Media. Main research and work areas: Theory of immersive media, media theory and philosophy, media effects research, moving image studies. Prof. Dr. Norbert M. Schmitz, Professor of Aesthetics at the Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts in Kiel. Between 1992 and 1996 he worked as a university assistant in the Department of Art History at the Bergische Universität- Gesamthochschule Wuppertal. In 2000, he was a research assistant at SFB 240 at the University of Siegen for the project "'Connection - Inclusion - Participation' - Forms of Interactive Media Art".
