The modern model no longer has a two-part front door, which emphasizes the simplicity even more. Both the side panels and the front door are effectively insulated.
Behind the door, in addition to an effective dust filter (when used with the door open), there is also an external 5.25" bay, so that - if necessary - an optical drive or other devices that require a 5.25" bay can be installed.
The Deep Silence 8 pro 3.1 offers 3x modular HDD cages, each of which can hold two HDD's or SSD's, as well as two slots for 3.5" or 2.5" HDD's under the PSU cover. The pre-installed fans provide adequate ventilation for the system. As with the other models of the Deep Silence series, this is done via the lateral "intakes" in the front.
