Product details

The 24.5-megapixel back-illuminated CMOS sensor with integrated phase recognition AF captures razor-sharp images with rich detail. The impressively fast Expeed 6 image processor delivers images with low
noise and amazing dynamic range at both high and low ISO values. With 90 percent AF coverage of the field of view, you can always capture your subject in sharp focus. In combination with the incredible autofocus of the Nikon lenses with Z bayonet, motifs are also precisely recognized in the image corners. And portrait shots succeed with incredible precision.

The autofocus system detects movements immediately. Even with small motifs and those in rapid motion, the sharpness is adjusted with maximum precision - under all lighting conditions. With static subjects, you can focus on the smallest details using the needle-tip measurement field. An intelligent autofocus processor with face recognition captures faces and keeps them in focus. That look. That expression. They catch him even if the person moves fast. Record full-frame movies in 4K/UHD at 30p. Enjoy captivating slow motion in Full HD movies with great detail and 120p. You can also take pictures while filming in 4K or Full HD.

The oversampling of the 8K signal produces 4K films of spectacular fineness and outstanding detail. The fast EXPEED-6 processor ensures brilliant image files with virtually no noise, moiré and color fringes. The 5-axis image stabilizer (VR) is integrated into the camera and compensates for camera shake in five directions. Photos stay sharp. Movies run stable. Sport mode provides exceptionally fast action in pursuit and a much smoother viewfinder image in panning. The sport mode ensures a quiet viewfinder image when following fast action or when pulling along with a pan. When filming, the 5-axis optical VR is supported by an electronic image stabilizer. Together they ensure smooth videos.

The 5-Axis Optical VR allows photography with up to five light value levels longer exposure times than would be possible without image stabilization. This allows you to capture clearer photos in dwindling daylight and video footage without wobbling. The Z 6 gives you the freedom to work out details out of the dark - for nighttime street scenes or portraits in low light. With the largest bayonet diameter of any full-size system, the mirror-less Nikon Z 6 captures more light than ever before. The 55 mm diameter of the bayonet means that more light can pass through in any direction. With a support dimension of only 16 mm (distance between bayonet support and sensor), more light reaches the full-frame image sensor in this way.
