The Philips Fidelio L3 proved to be an all-round good headphone with many strengths and some weaknesses. No wonder it is one of the best affordable headphones. It stands out not only because of its excellent sound, but also because of its first-class mobility. However, the seat could be a little more comfortable and the controls take a little getting used to.

The sound of the Fidelio L3 is great, as is the long battery life and the simple controls. The noise cancellation, however, is not a big hit.

Even superfluous DSP programmes and a poor quick-start guide within the app cannot prevent the Philips from catapulting itself clearly into first place among Bluetooth headphones with ANC in the price league up to 400 euros. Acoustically, it asserts itself with almost frightening sovereignty even against the strongest competition: Neither Sony nor beyerdynamic nor JBL have a proven way to get the Fidelio...
