Product details
The PocketBook Basic Touch is the world's first e-book reader with a capacitive E-Ink multitouch display and FilmTouch technology.
What makes the FilmTouch technology special is the use of an ultra-thin plastic layer that is just 0.2 mm thick, comparable to the thickness of two sheets of standard paper. This technology allows for a weight reduction of about 12% – an important aspect for a device that is held in one hand for extended periods.
The PocketBook Basic Touch features a 6-inch E Ink Pearl display. The FilmTouch sensor layer has only a minimal impact on the optical properties of the actual display, so contrast and brightness remain virtually unchanged. Additionally, the FilmTouch surface feels even more like paper.
